Marc Maruca, a young Montreal-based contractor, was born into an Italian family that worked in the tiling industry. The passion he has for this beautiful trade was passed down through his lineage. Mr. Maruca's maternal grandfather, Domenico Perin and his brother Valentino Perin, great craftsmen, worked on the construction of Saint Joseph's Oratory of Mount Royal back then.
Solid Background
With his maternal grandfather as a mentor at his side, Mr. Maruca gained a great deal of experience on the job. Today, he combines proven traditional techniques with more modern methods. Mr. Maruca has 12 years of on-site experience. He also trained at Spilimbergo, an internationally renowned ceramic school, as well as at Scuola Mosaicisti Del Friuli, in the historical Italian capital of Friuli, where a number of great ceramic artisans learned their trade.
